THE ELLERO STAMP: Issued at San Marino in 1988, honoring Pietro Ellero (b. at Pordenone, Italy, Oct. 8 1833; d. at Rome, 1933) Famous Italian Penologist, and Professor of Law. He taught at the University of Milan, and the University of Bologna (until 1889). He was appointed Deputy in the Italian Government in 1866 and Senator in 1889. He was the author of various books, and was the founder of "L'Archivio Giuridico" (The Law Archives).
